This interface consists of a series of data entry forms that are be used to create or edit records in the database. As you enter data, you will create the following objects:
- Contributors (i.e., States and Organisations)
- Offers of Assistance and Expertise
- Documents (i.e., sections found within offers, for example the "Training Section of the U.S. Offer")
- Contacts (names, addresses, phone numbers of contact points, associated with an Originator and a specific Document.)
This interface also allows you to modify less frequently used fields, like:
- Document Types (Nature of Offer), for example, "Training Programmes"
- Regions (used to determine the pertinence of an offer to a particluar part of the world)
- Countries (mapped to Regions and used in the address field for Contacts
- Category Names, for example, "Legislation Drafting"
Doucument Preparation:
Before you begin entering an Offer, you should have done the following:
- Edited the offer and separated it into Categories (sections) like "Legislation Drafting", etc.
- Marked the offer up as HTML. See the HTML Guide for instructions.
- Saved your marked-up HTML sections as plain text (.txt) or ASCII files.
If you are ready you may ENTER A NEW OFFER NOW.
