Administrator's Data-Entry Interface

This interface consists of a series of data entry forms that are be used to create or edit records in the database. As you enter data, you will create the following objects:
  • Contributors (i.e., States and Organisations)
  • Offers of Assistance and Expertise
  • Documents (i.e., sections found within offers, for example the "Training Section of the U.S. Offer")
  • Contacts (names, addresses, phone numbers of contact points, associated with an Originator and a specific Document.)

This interface also allows you to modify less frequently used fields, like:

  • Document Types (Nature of Offer), for example, "Training Programmes"
  • Regions (used to determine the pertinence of an offer to a particluar part of the world)
  • Countries (mapped to Regions and used in the address field for Contacts
  • Category Names, for example, "Legislation Drafting"

Doucument Preparation:

Before you begin entering an Offer, you should have done the following:

  1. Edited the offer and separated it into Categories (sections) like "Legislation Drafting", etc.
  2. Marked the offer up as HTML. See the HTML Guide for instructions.
  3. Saved your marked-up HTML sections as plain text (.txt) or ASCII files.
